Location

Connemara Country Cottages in located in Recess County Galway, 19 miles from Galway city on the main Galway to Clifden N 59 road. After leaving Galway, you will pass through Moycullen and Oughterard, the village for the cottages. Continue from Oughterard on the Clifden Road about 4.5 miles when you will pass entrance to the Glengowla Mines (tourist attraction), then a double bend, then there is a tall hedge to left, following which and suddenly, there is a turning to your left with signs for 'Quiet Man Bridge' (once a set for the film of that name) and Connemara Country Cottages, Timeshare and Rentals.  Follow lane, without deviation left or right, some 1.5 miles and you will reach Connemara Country Cottages. 

Owing to the remoteness of the cottages which are some 5 miles from the nearest village of Oughterard, use of a motor vehicle is essential for access and to enjoy Connemara.

Note: The address at Leam East , Recess, may mislead as the nearest substantive village is Oughterard, whilst Recess is only a row of retail units some three miles further on from the junction of the lane to the cottages on the N59, towards Clifden
