Rental Terms

Deposit
1. A non- returnable deposit (subject to paragraph 2) of 50% must be paid at the time of booking or within five days for telephone bookings.

2. The deposit will be refunded (less 10% of the total rental fee to cover administration costs) provided the cancellation is notified in writing at least 21 days prior to date when the rental is due to commence otherwise the deposit will be forfeited.

3. The balance of the total amount is due three weeks before the commencement of the booking.


General conditions applicable to both timeshare and rental occupation.

Check in
1. Saturday check in, You should arrive between 4 and 6pm on the Saturday. If you wish to arrive any later or on any other date please telephone (0) 91 552514 to make arrangements.


2. Cottages are normally let on a weekly basis from 4pm on the Saturday of the commencement of the letting to 10am on the following Saturday. Any variation must be discussed with the Resort administration. Shorter periods of rental may be considered but are unlikely to be available during periods of high demand.

3. Cottages have two or three bedrooms to sleep four or six people. In some cases the third bedroom is a bunk room. Extra sleeping provision for a further two guests is provided by use of sofa beds in each cottage. Each cottage has a bathroom and a shower room and a sauna.

4. Bed linen, towels, crockery and utensils are provided. Kitchens are fully fitted with washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, fridge, micro-wave. Electricity, peat, coal and central heating fuel are charged on the basis of usage and an account will be furnished prior to departure.

5. It is recommended that initial provisions are purchased prior to arrival. The nearest shops are in Oughterard.

6. A car is essential to enjoy the area.

7. Telephone and fax are at the Resort office.

8. Occupants of the cottages are responsible for any damage, caused by them or their guests, to the fabric of the premises or to its equipment.


9. It is an express condition for occupancy in respect of both timeshare and rental occupation that the Resort known as Connemara Country Cottages is not responsible for any accidental damage to the property of the occupants of the cottages whether or not such damage is alleged to be caused by those who administer the Resort or by the fabric of the Resort.

10. Anyone, with the authority of Connemara Country Cottages may, at all reasonable times, visit and enter any of the cottages to carry out any appropriate administrative function.

11. Pets are allowed by arrangement. Dog owners should be aware that sheep graze on adjoining lands.

12. Connemara Country Cottages is not responsible for any loss of valuables, or other property of occupants which may be left behind after departure.

13. Occupants are expected to leave cottages in a clean and tidy condition before departure.
